When faced with a death in the family, even those without a significant relationship to Judaism may turn to a shliach for help. This provides an opportunity to offer the bereaved the profound meaning and comfort that can come from learning Mishnayos for the aliyas haneshama of their loved one. However, sitting down with a Sefer Mishnayos can be foreign and intimidating for many.
The Mishna/Neshama Project is able to bridge this gap. A personalized, beautiful Mishyanos booklet, made specifically for the letters of the name of the niftar, is created and shipped within several hours of the order. Each Mishnah is translated and elucidated with relevant and meaningful commentary. The thoughtfulness of such a gesture at a time of pain and grief has left an indelible impression upon all who received it.
Shluchim have gifted Mishna/Neshama booklets to Balei Batim they are meeting for the first time and loyal members of their Chabad House. They are appreciated by learned Rabbonim and novice learners.
Booklets can be brought to Shiva homes, used at Shloshim or Yahrzeit events, ordered for Kaddish minyans and in honor of Shabbos Kiddush sponsors on or about a Yahrzeit.
English, French, Hebrew, Portuguese, Deutsch and Spanish versions of the booklet are available.
Each booklet features:
- Personal introductory letter to the family signed by the shliach
- Carefully chosen mishnah for each letter of the Niftar’s name
- Nikud of the mishnayos,
- Translation and inspirational elucidation of the mishnayos
- Customized dedication on the cover and on each page
